Beautiful unique ceramic lamps with hand-woven willow shades; a meeting of material and craftspeople.
These lamps are a collaboration between myself and Diana Duncan of Swamp City Basketry. I have wanted to make lamps with a weaver for a few years and now, finally we are Diana underway, The use of willow for the shade brings a beautiful ambience to the quality of light the lamps emit.
The shades are woven by Diana using willow from a range of locations in Canterbury including West Melton and Selwyn. By selecting different culitvars for colour, properties and size Diana makes the shades to compliment the bases.
