Beautiful, unique ceramic lamps with hand-woven willow shades; a meeting of material and craftspeople.
These lamps are a collaboration between myself and Diana Duncan of Swamp City Basketry. I have wanted to make lamps with a weaver for a few years and now we are underway, The use of willow for the shade brings a beautiful ambience to the quality of light the lamps emit.
Diana uses willow from a range of locations in Canterbury including West Melton and Selwyn. By selecting different culitvars for colour, property and size, Diana makes the shades to compliment the bases.
